Roll call was taken, present were Craig Stokes, Joe
Cukjati, Don Kranker,Norine Laird, Margaret Kennedy, Henry Ashbacher,
Veda Maxwell. Absent were Tammy Wayman and France O’Blak.
The minutes of the June Meeting were read and
approved as read by Margaret Kennedy and seconded by Joe Cukjati.
Updates from Committee Chairpersons:
Joe Cukjati: The plans for the Community
Center are all going strong. The architect has made all alterations
that were needed when the plans were returned from the Urban
Development. Everything is going really good and we should soon be able
to see the building plans and make the finale decisions on the planning.
Dianna Morrison: Since the Events in April & May
not a lot has been going on. The budget position was dissolved as no
actions were taking place. Alice Baldwin agreed to take on the Special
Henry Ashbacher: The Planning and Land Use has not
been doing a lot, also brought up the fact that Gebhardts are wanting
to put up a sign back up at the corner.
Phyllis Bitner: Stated that the web site had been
very busy. Phyllis also discussed the use of the brick from The
Catholic Church that is being demolished, to establish the signs at the
Craig Stokes need to discuss the fact about the Post
Office, as it would not be practical for the community to support
the Post Office, let alone the finances to build the building. It was
decided that Craig would write a letter asking the Postal Department to
re-establish the Post Office.
It was announced that the land behind the Old Hall
Site was purchased from Mr. Endress. The lot is where a children’s park
