Funeral Dinners:  Please remember that the community center is available for funeral dinners at no charge to the family.  Contact Marion Kobak (347-8444) or call the center (347-4220) to make arrangements.

They donated  the original two and when contacted to inquire about purchasing more they offered to donate them.   They also gave us wholesale pricing on the swing set.  This company shows the true spirit of this country by helping those in need.   

Picnic and Park Dedication - May 28
Date:  May 28, 2006  Sunday 
Time:   (noon - 4 pm)
Place:  Franklin Community Park
Picnic lunch (provided by Rural Water District #7 and Franklin Community Council, Inc.) at noon followed by awards and park dedication. Kids activities, face painting, polka music provided by Johnnie Zibert and many other activities.  Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon.  Everyone is welcome.   Admission is free to all.
Held in conjunction with National Historic Preservation Month.  Lots of great historic photos and stories.
See the new community park and share our pride.   Anyone visiting the park can see the many hours of volunteer labor that has gone into providing this beautiful facility.  
Mark your calendars and be sure to come for a fun filled afternoon.  Visit with old friends and make some new ones.   We have heard of many early residents who plan to attend so be sure to come and spend the afternoon.

Debt Reduction

Please help us with paying off the debt from the community center construction in any way you can.

All donations are tax deductible.  
If you are unable to volunteer perhaps you would consider sending a small donation  which would help with paying off the debt.
If everyone would send even a small amount each month it would be helpful and we could get the debt paid off.     Please remember that all the work done is for the good of the community, it’s residents and friends.
