She was born Sept. 13, 1912, at Franklin to Frank and Mary Cukjati Lipasek. She moved to Texas in 1998 to be near her family. She was raised in Franklin and attended Franklin schools.
She was a homemaker who lived in Franklin most of her life.
She married William "Bill" Maxwell on July 24, 1937 in Franklin. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Mead of Arlington, and Margaret Terlip of Kentwood, Mich.; two sisters, Jennie Fontaine of Peculiar, Mo., and Josephine Barton of Girard; two brothers, Joe Lipasek of Pittsburg and Frank Lipasek of Marietta, Ga.; five granddaughters; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Lipasek, Rosie Lepoglow, Louise Leroy, and Fanny Lepo; and three brothers, Tony, Johnnie, and August Lipasek.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with Rev. Jolene Stephenson officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma where friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday.
