Franklin meeting scheduled

FRANKLIN - The Franklin Community Council will meet at 7 p.m. today at Ashbacher's
Construction, Second and Broadway, Franklin.
All interested persons may attend.
A report will be given on what has taken place so far, along with plans
for the future in rebuilding the community following the May 4 tornado.
Updates will be given on projects that are currently underway, including
the community center, community park, storm siren, post office and the May
4 remembrance service.
Council members will also share recent letters from Kansas Gov. Kathleen
Sebelius and Vice President Dick Cheney, urging agencies involved in the rebuilding
of Franklin to expedite their efforts.
There will also be news regarding the launching of a fundraising campaign
for the various projects that are part of the reconstruction of the community.
Campaign goal will be $405,000.
