Katherine M. Pommier

ARMA - Katherine M. Pommier, 74, of Arma, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, May
21, 2004, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1930, at Mulberry to John and Lena Vender Nepote.
She was raised at Franklin, attended Franklin Grade School, and graduated from Arma High
School in 1947. She lived in Arma most of her life.
She married Louis E. Pommier on Feb. 12, 1949, at St. Philip Neri Catholic
Church at Franklin. He preceded her in death
Oct. 18, 2001.
Mrs. Pommier was a homemaker. She also worked as a teacher's aide at Pittsburg
Middle School, at Names & Numbers in Pittsburg, and owned and operated
Corner Mart at Arma with her husband from 1977 to 1986.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Arma, the American Legion
Auxiliary of Arma, the AARP, and the Northeast Booster Club. She was a volunteer
for Meals on Wheels and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Survivors include four sons, Ron Pommier of Franklin,
Larry Pommier of Pittsburg, Randy Pommier of Girard, and Gary Pommier of
Arma; two daughters, Beverly Pommier of Pittsburg and Reneé Popejoy
of Arma; two sisters, Alta Krasovec of Pittsburg and Ann Locke of Omaha,
Neb.; one brother, John Nepote of Erie; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Ann Maria
Pommier.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church
with Fr. Donald Thissen and Fr. Robert McElwee as concelebrants. Burial will
be at Garden of Memories Cemetery near Pittsburg. Arrangements are under the
direction of Bedene Funeral Home of Arma.
