Phyllis was raised in Franklin and
attended Franklin Grade School. Her ancestors settled
in Franklin in 1907 and the family has had a presence in the community
throughout the past 100 years. Phyllis and her husband
Scotty Bitner own and operate Scotty's Classic Car Museum in Arma,
Kansas, a neighboring community. Phyllis has
deep ties to the community through family and friendships and continues
to work for projects that benefit the community.
Phyllis and Scotty have 5 children
and 11 grandchildren. Phyllis enjoys spending time with her
grandchildren and attending their activities. She is a board
member of the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the
Kansas Museums Association, NAAM (National Association of Automobile
Museums), National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Kansas State
Historical Society.
