Veda Maxwell
Veda and her husband, Stuart (Butch) moved to Franklin from the Chicago area in May, 1993. They relocated here to be close to her parents, Earl and Mary Vilet of Arma and her son, Lance Kocur.
Veda's daughter lives in Indianapolis, Indiana . When asked about grandchildren she replies she has 9... all 4-legged... 5 dogs and 4 cats but hasn't given up hope yet!
Veda has worked with the RWD #7 since April, 1997 and on the Franklin Community Civic Center Board just about as long. She serves on the Franklin Community Council as one of nine Directors. She also is a member of the History Committee and Secretary for the Communication Committee both for Sacred Heart Church in Frontenac. Since December, 1997 she worked at the Franklin Post Office until the tornado struck and is currently assigned to the Arcadia Post Office with her fingers crossed that one day soon a brand new bigger & better Franklin Post Office will be approved for her to move into.
