Wildflower Meadow at Dragline Park!!
Franklin Butterfly Junction at Dragline Park!!
Follow along as new updates are posted as these areas are developed.
Wildflower Meadow will be created to surround three sides of the Page 618 Dragline once it is placed on site. A special thank you to Logan Martin, Wildlife Biologist with Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and Crawford County for their assistance with creating this project. Several other area businesses and volunteers have offered their help as we proceed with this project.
Butterfly Junction will be created at the center of the parking area at Dragline Park. Peyton Kessler, Peyton’s Potting Shed, will generously design the garden, donate perennial native plants, and give guidance for future care. Many area residents and businesses have stepped in to be a part of this exciting project and we are most grateful. We appreciate Peyton’s generous offer and look forward to seeing her beautiful plants at Dragline Park. Our intent will be to obtain a listing on the National Monarch Way Station listing once the garden is complete.
